In 2006 the Faculty of Economics, which was still majoring in Economic Education under the Faculty of Social Sciences, broke away and declared the Faculty of Economics through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Number 761 / D / T / 2006 concerning the Opening of the Unesa Faculty of Economics dated February 16, 2006, and the Decree of the Rector of Unesa No. . 050 / J37 / HK.01.23 / PP.03.02 / 2006 concerning the Separation of the Department of Economic Education and its Study Program from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the opening of the Faculty of Economics on March 16, 2006. The long journey since 2006 to become the Faculty of Economics is not complete if there is no Study Program Economics, finally in 2016 with the decrease in the licensing for the implementation of the S1 economics study program with the Decree of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Number: 514 / KPT / I / 2016, dated December 7, 2016 legally established. being part of the Faculty of Economics, Unesa to provide education and learning with the main subjects of the S1 Economics Study Program, among others; Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Mathematical Economics, Statistics, and Econometrics. The Bachelor of Economics study program always strives to provide academic services and tasks of the Tridharma of Higher Education in a professional manner supported by the resources of educators (Lecturers) who have quantified Doctoral (S3) and Masters ( S2). With the support of existing facilities, facilities and infrastructure at the Faculty of Economics, Unesa, academic activities of the S1 Economics Study Program, to produce graduates who are competent in the fields of development planning, monetary, public economics, as well as in the field of resource economics.
